restoration of Griffiegebouw 's-Hertogenbosch

The former Provinciale Griffie, the provincial registry, a 19th-century building designed by architect J. van Lokhorst, is situated between the two museums in Museumkwartier. The building has been fully restored. Following detailed testing and analysis the colour schemes were restored to their original state, and the tiled walls and woodwork were also restored. The Provinciaal Archief Bodemvondsten is now housed in the registry office. The office accommodation has floating ceiling units suspended from the original structure, providing the work areas with modern facilities. A staff canteen has been added in the attic.
